The programme:  Nursing, Midwifery and ODP degrees are funded by the NHS – so no tuition fees.  Those of you who want to go onto careers in the health service will be eligible for free tuition for these courses and reduced fees for a number of other courses.  There are also bursaries available to support with living expenses.

A healthcare student on an eligible course of 45 weeks in duration and studying outside London could receive a non-means tested grant of £1,000, a means tested bursary of up to £4,395 and a reduced non-means tested maintenance loan of up to £2,324. The maintenance loan is reduced in the final year of study to £1,811 if you are studying outside London and £1,324 if you live with your parents.

In addition to the basic bursary, students can apply for a number of additional allowances. These allowances provide support to disabled students and additional support for students with dependant adults and children.
