The programme:  There are a number of different sponsorship programmes available with Jaguar Land Rover and more details can be found via the website.  The Higher Apprenticeship scheme leads to a fully paid for BEng degree.   As a Higher Apprentice, you’ll spend your first year at college, learning the fundamentals of engineering. You’ll then be ready to get hands-on, gaining real experience in one of our expert teams. During your second year working with us, you’ll continue your studies at college on a day-release basis.  In later years, you’ll attend the University of Warwick on a block-release basis.  As well as gaining commercial and professional experience, you’ll also achieve academic and vocational qualifications, such as:

NVQ2 in Performing Engineering Operations

NVQ3 in Business Improvement Techniques or NVQ3 Vocational Related Skills

NVQ4 in Engineering Manufacturing

A fully sponsored BEng degree in Applied Engineering.

Entry requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including Maths and English, plus a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject – or a BTEC level 3 (60 credits +) or equivalent in a relevant Engineering or Technology discipline. In addition, you’ll also need 2 A Levels at grades C or above in both a Mathematical subject and a Science, Technology or Engineering related subject – or a BTEC Level 3 (90 credits +) or equivalent in an Engineering or Technology related discipline.
